Quilt I make for my son

Should say quilt I made for my son, not make! My son picked this pattern and the fabrics at a LQS he took me to in Newport News, VA. He was wandering the store while I was buying. He surprised me saying he would like this. I finished it and took it to him last week--he was very pleased! The quilting design is of anchors and loops.

What a fantastic quilt. I bet he really loved it seeing how he selected the fabric & you made it for him. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Handsome! What is the fabric line? Did you design it or use a pattern?

I love the quilt! It is such a great guy quilt, although several of our grandchildren like fishing and the water as much as my husband and I do, and most of them are girls. Great job!!!

Love your quilt and you did a great job on it. Bet your son will treasure it so much since it seemed to be a team effort. He picked the fabric and you made the quilt. How nice is that.

Your quilt is wonderful! Just perfect for a gentleman, too! Love the anchor quilting and may have to try that on a Navy T-Shirt quilt I'm in the process of making.

As for the store you purchased the fabric/pattern at in Newport News, VA - I'm assuming it was at Nancy's Calico Patch and they are the nicest folks - if anyone is interested I'm certain a quick call to the store and they would be glad to help you. I've frequented the shop several times and they are delightful!

Again, wonderful quilt - thanks for sharing and thank you to your son for his service!

Good Job. He chose well and you did well to work on it for him. Love this fabric line. It reminds me that men's quilts don't have to be dark colors. Your's is light and airy.

It's perfect! It's a great story about him picking the fabric and pattern. I love it all … I'm a lake-lover, too.
