So sweet! I think that is awesome for you to do. Last October I pieced a quilt for a friend too. I don't have an embroidery machine so I asked someone to do the embroidery squares for me and I had the staff sign the back. She had just found out that she had breast cancer and was going in for surgery within a couple of weeks.

Beautiful, and such a comforting choice of colors. I know she will appreciate it. I am a 7 year survivor of breast cancer, too.
