A fellow QB forum member saw the pics of the vintage quilt tops that I had quilted, so she PM'ed me to see if I'd like to have some old quilt blocks she had collected. Would I! :D So they arrived the other day and I set right to making them into a little quilt. I could tell that they were all quite old and they were all hand-sewn. I added the green sashing and blue border, then quilted it with the same green on the backing and binding. I like the way it turned out. :)

Thank you for sending me the blocks (she asked to remain anonymous), I was glad to give some new life to them so that they finally made their way into a finished quilt. I'm glad you had the same appreciation for these old blocks as me and didn't want to see them languishing away, forever in a UFO status. :D

That turned out beautifully Eddie. You did a great job making the little quilt. I am glad someone sent them to you instead of letting them go to waste.

Beautiful job of putting those vintage UFO blocks together into a quilt.

Good job. Thank-you for the close ups of the blocks. Can't you just go into them and imagine who might have stitched them and when. A piece of history, preserved. Your finished quilt is awesome.
