I did it, it is not perfect, but I am learning how to free motion quilt. This is a baby quilt for a friend, I made this one from beginning to end.

I almost had to throw it away because I accidentially used a template pencil to draw on the border, but I used spray and wash and a scrub brush and got all the black marks out, then I wash it and pressed it so that I why it is so puffy

Really sweet quilt. Your first attempt is great, doesn't look like a first! Keep up the good work.

Your quilt is beautiful. You did a great job on both the piecing and the machine quilting.

Is this a Quilt in a Day pattern?

I think you did a great job! And I applaude you for getting over any fear and just doing it! ( a feat I have yet to accomplish)
It is a beautiful quilt! Congratulations

Thanks, it was actually a pattern from the Moda Bake shop! I had alot of fun, next time I might use a white tread so you have to look really hard for the mistakes! This contrasting thread shows all!

your quilt is darling, I love it. I am at the same stage as you with FMQ, and I think you just have to jump in and do it...it will get better each time. Your first attempt however is still great and I bet you learned alot for the next quilt that you do! Great job!

I definately learned alot, I also purchased Pat Sloan's book and got some great tips from that. She has some youtube videos too and I learned how to jump to the next area instead of stippling thru my points, I wish I would have watched those videos before I started the stippling
