After my husband left for Iraq for the second time I decided to use some of those old uniforms laying around to make him a quilt. He is now using it in Iraq.

That looks great, BG, you did a really good job on it. And I bet your husband is really glad to have something so special from home with him.

And welcome to the QB! :)

the first time my husband was in Iraq I had gotten a request from another soldier for a quilt that looked like a flag, This is what I came up with.

Hi and Welcome from Northern Indiana !
Love the way you did the quilt and what a clever way to reuse his unused uniforms  And no one cam claim it from him unless they have the same last name

It is small so I couldn't see clearly, who is in the pic , if you don't mind my asking ?

That is really thoughtful of you and such a good use of old uniforms.
