I'm not sure...the felt of course needs no hemming and its pretty easy to invisibly hand applique because the material is so thick...regular fabric would need hemming or lining and that could end up being a bigger PITA than the felt. William (who got the dino quilt and lives next door) will be getting a playhouse later this summer, we haven't decided what theme for him. His Mom doesn't sew so I said I will help her, and we saw some cute camping tent playhouses on someones website so we might do a cammo fabric for that one.

The quilt is so cute and the play house is a work of art. The kid's are so lucky. What a great idea. I also love the pic of your three doggies.
