ummm they were not panels. pretty sure it was applique. Lemmie find the book and see what it said

Cant figure out which one it is, isnt that terrible lol.
Edit to add: its listed in the section for machine embroidery, doesnt say much does it lol
Well, I didn't really think they would be using panels in a quilt show of this caliber, but they look so wonderful and perfect, it is hard to imagine they were pieced or appliqued.

The fishing hooks around the border looked real then you got close and found they were stitched.

Thank you for posting these pics. They are absolutely inspirational! I wonder if any of their creators read here...

And if not, where do they read for their "online forums". If any...maybe they are so busy creating, they don't read many forums, but I wonder...

Ohhhh....how lovely! Some of them are just out of this world. Do you remember if the one with all the hummingbirds if the hummers were applique or embroidered?
