Several people have commented on the Template I used in the Storm at Sea quilt tops. It's the Fast 2 Cut Storm at Sea template by Wendy Matheson. I've used that diamond template a lot in designs other than Storm at Sea. In this top, the template was used in the sashing, by just adding a bit of length to the diamond shape and then using the template to do the trimming. The fabric used in the octagons is shown in the border. The sashing was made with a companion fabric in a stripe. I see different parts of this top when I look at it - sometimes the white stars, sometimes the circle effect formed by the sashings and other times the stacked octagons. Love it when that happens :)
