This was the first top I did of this design, but now I've done three others, one shown in my avatar. I had admired the Babette crocheted blankets and knew I could never get that done, so I tried a quilt top. I made up the measurements to use the scraps that I keep in my precut scraps. After I made this, someone commented that it looked like Kaffe Fassett's Jewel Squares and when I investigated, I found that the Babette blankets were inspired by his quilt! Goes around and around :)

The smallest square finishes at one inch with a three quarter inch finished surround. Yes, those little ones do get tiresome to make, but I think they make the quilt top!

Thanks! Sometimes I can be pretty dull with the names and sometimes I have some fun with them. I love the little squares as well...maybe I should say, I love them when I'm finished with them, not so much when I'm about half way done. I do love the piecing process, but that number of little ones can get to you :)
