This is the first time I made a "quilt as you go" project. I made these two table runners. The blue and white were for a shower present with napkins and the second picture was for my co-worker who collects birdhouses in her kitchen. These were fun to make and now I'm planning for some spring colors.

Those are pretty, I'm going to try one soon. The other day, I took 4 blocks I'd made and did the QAYG just to see how it worked. I actually think I can do it but it's one of those "on the list" things.

Is that you hiding?

That's me hiding. They really weren't hard once you get started. Initially I had trouble figuring out how to start. One of the ladies at the quilt store I go to in Rochester MI helped me and away I went. The second one was much easier. I sew with a group of teachers once a month and took the blue one in and everyone loved the material, Geri, who organizes the group ordered the material and everyone was making them. I would like to try and make some placemats.

I made a couple of these and really liked the way they turned out, I started with the light colors in the center and worked my way to the ends with darker fabrics, sorry but I didnt take any pictures, they were Xmas gifts.

Awesome, where did you find your pattern for the table runner?

I am a beginner and would love to try to make some.
