It's Hobbs Thermore wadding (sorry, batting!) and I SITDed only through the vertical seams. I think that made a difference. I used those little curtain rings with the clips about every 4" and it hangs in folds really well. Plus I didn't have to sew on curtain tape - nice n easy does it, everytime! Quick to take down and wash too! 8)

I'm definitely going to make curtains like this when we convert the attic - we want to keep the windows that are all ready up there because they're original but only single glazed; so they'll get the quilted treatment! :D

Izy just for you, here's a pic of the wall hanging of 'our house'!

Wow that looks awesome. What did you use on the back? Great fabric choices too. Cute kitty.

The backing was an 108" wide Portobello Market http://www.fatquarterworld.com/quilt...JJCEANMAIIHBGF

The navy and dark red were Moda 'Kansas Troubles' and the gold was a Benartex, I'm sorry I don't know the name and can't remember where I got it.

It looks great. The colors are just perfect.

Since everyone else has been admiring your wall hanging, I will tell you son #2 is admiring your hats! Isn't funny what catches different people's attention in pictures?

 The red woolly one is my winter one and the black with lots of white thin stripes is my gardening hat - the rest are Hans' and he DOES wear them all - though not at the same time, obviously! :D

Great curtain K. I need a couple of those in my kitchen just for the winter and have been looking at thermal ones, but can't find any I like. I may copy your idea! Thanks!
