I love this and was ready for a new one. Hope you don't mind if I borrow your design. That's purty! :-P
It was a Hopscotch pattern, but it should be pretty easy to duplicate without the pattern. It is only one bag, with two different panels one side pieced the other applique. I used the large floral as the linning.

Wonderful idea! Beautiful bag.Clap, clap, clap!!!
Did you use drapery fabric? Looks like a great way to stretch the sample pieces that I collect.
I love making tote bags and often piece scraps together to make a larger piece.
