    Default quilting by-product

I had been saving selvedges for quite a while and had a big bag full. Last winter I sewed them together end to end, rolled them into balls and today started to crochet them into a mat. Nothing wasted! And yes, I still save the selvedges and any narrow strips.

What a great idea. How large do you plan to make it?
