Default Quilting room at church

My husband's family gets together the Sat. after Thanksgiving in a church fellowship hall. I was looking around and came upon this door with this sign. Yes, I tried the handle...it was locked! haha Just had to take a picture and share with you all. Made my day. I even went and got my DH's niece to show her. I know, it doesn't take much to make me happy. haha

How wonderful that the church has a group of regular quilters. Or at least important enough to have their name on a door. I would have to check that out also.

Several years ago, our little country church had a group of ladies that met every Wednesday and they would quilt and quilt to earn a little money for their benevolences. I have heard them talk about putting the quilt into the frames and taking it off. Their quilts were neatly rolled up after each meeting and stood on the ends at the corner of the classroom. All those tiny, tiny stitches that they made. Wonder how many miles of thread they went through.
