Okay--NOW I feel better.

It's ridiculous, and tiring, to feel each square is in its place for a reason. Sigh...

I knew if I came here it'd get better. :D

I think its lovely Karla....have you heard about using your garden strimmer to whack it to fluff up the edges instead of clogging up your washing machine.....check it out on line I can't remember where I saw this sorry....but it looks like fun too!!

Either way is lovely. I think that we can tend to over think about getting it just right. Just go with it. Remember this is supposed to be fun! LOL

I have Izy--it was on the newsletter where I had a hint published too--but I'm going to stick to the old way. This is a wedding gift and I know using a tool like that will have horrid results. I see gas drips, oil leaks... shudder.

Well I suppose the guy who I watched just kept a machine just for this job probably, like you say it would be a crying shame to ruin it... I had a thought about using a dog grooming brush, you know the fine wire ones that are rectangular with a central handle, that way you could get rid of alot of the fluff, I wondered..... Love the quilt by the way, did I say, I do wander off track alot......

Looks great Carla. When making quilts I will lay the whole thing out and leave it on the floor until I've had at least 1 other (pref more) person look at it and tell me if it is balanced. I look at it from all angles, even standing on the couch to get a good look. I think your final layout is perfect!! I like your idea of taking a picture, especially now that I have an empty nest, I don't have as many people around to look at it for me!!! 8)

Looks good Karla :)
The one thing that caught my eye was the 2 half-white squares that are right next to each other. One of the white halves is next to a whole white one. Maybe the half white one could be switched with the square to its right?
You have really been a busy bee this summer!!! :D:D
