I like it! A LOT! I wonder what kind of brush they use to do chenile? I saw John Flinn do the weed whacker thing on a rag quilt. I think he may have used an electric one. I'd be scared to death to try it myself!

It really is a warm, fall, getting ready for winter quilt. It gets really cold here in SE Georgia, I will take it as is. It would be wonderful covered up with it in front of my fireplace with a roaring fire, AHHHH, I do love that scene. RELAXING. Bill'sBonBon

It looks good but I would flip the half squares so that you don't have leaves touching leaves.

Karla--don't move another thing!! Just start sewing them together like they are. Do not overthink it!!! It's wonderful!!!!!

Two tricks for laying out a random pattern quilt. One is to do exactly what you did and take a photo of it-you notice a lot of things in the pictures that you do not see just looking at the quilt. The other thing to use is a peep hole (like you would put in your front door). You can buy one at a hardware store for just a few dollars. Look thru it going the wrong way--it makes everything smaller and really makes the colors stand out. Glaring fabrics that need to be switched really pop out at you this way.

This looks better. I will be doing this soon so you can get back at me then. :D

I tend toward more patterned or no pattern at all, your choice, but the last pic looks the best to me.

Very nice fabrics!

zyx--I will flip those white rectangles somehow--I circled that spot in the photo taped to the file cabinet by the machine. Thanks! I was busy looking at the three in a row--then I focused on the new greens, then the reds popped at me. The whites hadn't had a turn.

I always put some rectangles next to the same fabric because somehow--if it's really even possible--makes it less busy.

Thanks bj, too--for nudging me to break up the three-in-a-row. I like it much better now. :D
