It's a tricky one...I am doing a random scrappy at the moment. When I was playing about with some of the finished blocks I decided I would sash them in a solid colour. Didn't think of distributing a solid block amongst the randoms. I think the solids make it look interesting, but then the chaos of the randoms against each other is cool too. All in all not much help am I....but I love your blocks so keep us posted.

Wow, what a great response, I am now looking at my quilt blocks in a new light, I knew I could rely on some good advise from you all here, may I ask what is 'lattice', is it not the same as sashing then?
I am inspired to make more, just as I was thinking I would use the solids between, now I am thinking I shall try them on point and do away with the solids all together, I shall keep shuffling them about over the next few days while I make more until I am satisfied. If I was to tie it would I do that in the corners of the joins, I am thinking with black thread at this stage.
Many thanks
Gal
