I am not sure this is the first raw edge applique I did and it is a wall hanging so probably won't be washed often. The stitching on the stems is a blanket stitch and the rest is a straight stitch. Some are sewn over more than once.

I love this! My husband made me a table top quilt rack and I am trying to make a block (around 12") for each month of the year to hang on it. This would be great for May!!! Thanks for the info and link.
