I used a small phone book, gently tore out the pages and used them as foundations. Started with the black strip first and built it up from there. Paying no attention what so ever to width of the pink strip. I think it helped make it more wonky. Then I turned it over and using my rotary cutter..trimmed around the original shape of the page. Very forgiving and fast!

love the colors - when we started quilting who would have thought that a phone book would become a quilting tool???
