Love the quilt, love the cat! We have 2 quilt cats in our house, Smoky weighs over 20 lbs. but still manages to jump up on my cutting table and inspect my fabric, and Hemingway, normal size cat but with 6 toes on each paw, who also checks out my projects. So far, all are cat approved! Thanks for sharing.

Thank you again for the kudos everyone. You are most encouraging. The time is just about right to quilt this thing now. I have another top on the design board that I want to finish first. Always some reason to procrastinate. I will be machine quilting this. I'm not ready to hand quilt a large quilt just yet. Someday though.

NCMtnHigh, I hope Little Bit, who swallowed the needle and thread, has learned his lesson and didn't suffer any ill effects of his little *snack*. My kitty, Kimchee, likes to crawl up on the guest bed in my sewing room and nap. He follows me around like a puppy dog. The one time he "helped" me quilt he was absolutely no help at all. He was laying on the quilt as I was trying to do free motion quilting. Ha! Try moving a large quilt with an extra 18 pounds sitting on it! Doesn't work!!!

Happy quilting everyone! :D

I live your quilt top. Bright colors are my favorites. If you are machine quilting I would just stitch in the ditch, so it won't take away from the beauty of the fabrics.

Yvonne,
I found the picture of your red quilt that Frieda told me about. It is beautiful! You say it's easy? Looks complicated. Really nice.

This is gorgeous! The cutting for the blocks alone takes artistry! I'll be checking out the pattern...another one for the "someday" list. :)

I love it! The yellow in the hawaiian looking fabric really makes it pop!

What a great job! I think I would quilt with an allover flowery design.
