Congratulations on you new grandson! My first grandchild came into my life 19 years ago this December. My mother taught me to garment sew since I was 10. But when I found out my daughter was having my first grandchild, I made my first quilt. I have darling pictures of her with her quilt and now she sews and made the quilt that is on her bed. Nothing like the love for a grandchild. I hope Lincoln loves it to pieces!

Darling quilt. Isn’t being a grandmother just the best? My grandson loved his quilt so much he traveled with it when he was little. Now 6’ tall, almost 16 and will go anywhere with me if I let him drive. Time really does fly!

What a great quilt and big enough to take him well into his toddler years and his first big boy bed. Congratulations on the new grandbaby and fabulous job on the quilt!

Sweet, Sync! It's a double sided quilt... Congrats on the grandbaby!

I'm waiting for my first and second grandchildren to be born next Spring. My son's baby is first, in Feb... and a girl. My daughter's baby is due in April and we don't know the sex yet... but I'm pretty sure it's a boy. If it is a boy, they are thinking about naming him Lincoln too!
