When I found out that KLue had dropped out of the IRR, I felt bad for her. So I got together with a few friends here on the board, and we offered to Round Robin her center so she would have a completed quilt, and she graciously accepted our offer.

I did the first round. I've titled it "I'm ready for my closeup Mr. DeMille!"

I deliberately chose FRIENDSHIP stars, instead of the regular 5 pointed ones. I had to experiment, and revise several times, because the glittery fabric is very stretchy, like swimsuit fabric. I tried stabilizing it and piecing the stars, but that was too bulky, so I ended up appliqueing them. Sigh. I'm really NOT an applique-er! LOL

I hope you like it, KLue. I'll mail out on December 1st for the next one.

Rogue Robins: Round 1. "I'm ready for my closeup, Mr. DeMille"

just wonderful, is this what you call paper piecing, only I've just been reading about it on the tutes page and had never seen it before. Great.
