Judith, it's perfect!! I totally love that turquoise fabric and the pattern! I have used that fabric in that color and maybe another color! My center is packaged and ready to deliver to you. Probably get it to the PO tomorrow.

I will get to put the finishing round on your center!! Whee-hoo!

Can I add a me 3 on this also. This is my first round robin also. And also wonder if my skill are up to these beauties. But, knowing I'm not the only one to feel this way, makes me feel better. But, I just know they are all going to be great. And I will feel more confident after pushing myself to try something new.

I'm so ready to get started. I can't wait to see the color of yours up close and personal before I pull fabric. And, I can't wait to see what mine will look like next year after all of you have worked on it. I will be mailing mine next week. I going to try to have it ready on Monday.

I'm a lurker who loves to watch as RRs progress. This one is going to be fun to watch. You've all made some beautiful centers!

Judith1005, love your center, the colors are so pretty. I will be adding the second round to yours can't wait to see what Paula (dragonfly nana) adds to it. And now that makes 5 of us with blue in our center. That's so cool. Ok we only need one more picture from tam...moo to finish out the pictures of our centers.

This is my 2nd round robin, and I promise you all you will enjoy it, and learn lots from it. The main thing is to have fun. I can't wait to get started. I'm mailing mine out Monday it goes to tam...moo.

Judith that is darling and as Gena said - another shade of blue! A fabric I have immediately sprang into my head that should go perfectly with what you have shown, but like you said I will wait until it arrives just to make sure.
I am looking forward to being the first to add to it.

Now, if Tam...moo also chose blue for her Christmas style - it is really going to be funny.

Could you please explain how this works? I don't understand the concept here.

Paula, thanks for the explanation, I get it now. So each quilt will be square unless you make your original center rectangular. Each person adds a pieced border of the predetermined size but of their own creation in both color and design, then passes it on to the next person in line. Would anyone ever add a regular strip border, either narrow or wide, at any point, if they felt it was appropriate to the design?
Would it be considered inappropriate to start with a, say, 36" center if you wanted to end up with a larger quilt at the end???? Or do you also pre-determine acceptable ranges for the starting square sizes too?
What is the usual turnover time that each person keeps the quilt piece they have between times to pass it on? I am leary of deadlines. LOL
Thanks for educating us on this process. Maybe one day I, too, will be brave enough to join one. LOL

Judith, I am sooooo in love with the turquoise color in your block!! I love all your blocks but that color is one of my favorites.

PS: What does the hint about having the white background fabric in your stash mean? Would you share it if someone wanted to use it in their section of your quilt?
