This photo is Paula's quilt with the 7" round I have added. I decided to quiet it down with some darker colors after such bright movement! I hope I made a positive choice as it is a gorgeous quilt which pictures do not do justice! I can hold on to it, Judith as I know it is not near time to be sending on, but my next few weeks look busy and I wanted to have some projects finished.

The photo does nothing for the true colors! They are so bright and clear and the border print is more defined than it shows. Nancy.

Nancy, It looks great. You can send it on whenever you are ready. I love the calming effect your border gives Paula's piece. It is coming together beautifully.

Thanks, Judith and I was half asleep when it came to me that I still said the wrong name of the quilt top when I posted the picture earlier! It is yours, right? -sorry I am mixing our names up so bad! I put it up on the design board this afternoon to enjoy as I sew. You sent the cutest journal along with your top!

Nancy - we knew what you meant and what's in a name anyway?
I love what you have done with my top! The green was a perfect choice to "calm" the quilt and the applique flowers are positively adorable. They bring the feeling of the center back into the top in such a fun way. Thank you so much.

Judith, I put Paula's quilt away to keep it save in my cupboard, so I have not sent it on yet. I plan to send it in a couple of days and will let you know when it goes out in the mail.
How are all the quilts coming along? I plan to teach a class on free motion quilting tomorrow at a friend's shop. My first time to teach and I will be glad to have the first class under my belt! Therefore, my mind has been busy preparing for these classes, four this month, and I haven't started on your quilt, Judith. But I have gotten compliments on it-it's lovely, I promise!
Spring seems to be peeking around the corner here, even though it is overcast more days than not. Part of living around the great lakes, these cloudy wintry days we have. I dislike it, but have lived here all my life and love most things about my home state. Paula-my paternal grandparents and family lived in Roanoke, VA, so I spent lots of summer vacations there- truly a beautiful state! My dad never lost his soft southern talk.

Quiltermomma-thanks for stopping by and for your compliments. I know about your good work as I have two swap quilts in my home from you. Nancy.

Nancy - Roanoke is truly lovely section of Virginia - very peaceful there. I am originally from the Richmond area which I do not remember being as rainy as it is here in Virginia Beach. Sometimes I think we are all going to grow mold - but at least I don't have to shovel rain!

Quiltermomma and I are in the same row robin and I have to tell you - those ladies do some lovely work too.
