Default Ruler work - Quilt as you go quilt!

Here is the rulerwork Quilt as you go quilt, which I started in October and finished in March 2019. Instructor Pam from mysassynotions, is a fabulous Instructor, giving us hints and guidance through the process. I didn't realise when I signed up I would be making a quilt, so just used fabrics from my scraps, however it turned out ok. I loved doing ruler work, and will be doing more of this on my quilts. It was not a very expensive course being $35 for the 7 months of learning a new technique.

Nice job! I haven't tried ruler work. I would say that was money well spent for your class.

Great work! It is encouraging to see that ruler work can be applied to QAYG.

That looks beautiful! I bought some rulers but haven't used them yet. You've encouraged me and I thank you!

Very nice. Was this done on a domestic machine? Or a mid arm? Or long arm? The reason I ask is that I have an HQSS Sit Down machine, for which I have purchased several rulers. I am finding it hard to hold ruler snug against the needle while moving fabric. I have heard that ruler work is much easier with a long arm machine. You did a great job, especially for your first stab at a new technique. Kudos to you.

Wow! Those quilting samples look fantastic. You learned a lot from this course. I think you got your money's worth. I look forward to seeing how you incorporate these techniques into a new quilt.
