Still hot from the machine. I had a co-worker order 25 wallets. Here is a picture of the last two. The cardinal is thread painting I started a few months ago. I like to do what I am told not to do and this was a challenge. I was told that you should never paint with watercolors on fabric. Well, I decided to try it out. The painted cardinal came out great, until my 7 year old knocked down the cup where the brushes were soaking, and the paints ran. I was mad, but not for long, when I saw the colors running together and looking great. I placed a piece of organza over it to make the spill less obvious and started to do thread painting with it, and microstippling on the blue background. I am very pleased with the results.

My cardinal

Isn't it funny how mistakes can result in a great idea? I've heard that post-it notes were originally a failed project, too. Your cardinal is wonderful!

Those are cute wallets. Your cardinal is awesome. It's amazing sometimes how a mistake can turn out better than what you were originally planning. Great job.
