I think with a couple nice little eyes, and an 'Eeyore' tail, he will be one happy elephant. I vote for a smile. I personally, think he is great!

Is this picture of the elephant you described? Cuz this one is DARLING! He makes me smile so I think he should have a big ol' grin on his precious little face, too! I love me some Eddie!!!

He is adorable and perfect! I agree with the others about adding a yarn or embroidery thread tail. As for a face, he's perfect either way. I also would love to know where to get the pattern.
