Default A safe Christmas tree for cats.

I made this hanging for my brother who has two cats that love to climb any tree he puts up. When he hosts Christmas he decorates the tree in the morning and takes it down after company leaves. I wanted him to have something to look at for a few weeks. I am sending it to him this week. The hanging is about 12 inches wide by 13 tall, the tree is made of 1 inch HST's. Sorry all the walls in our house are light, so it was hard to get a good picture.

    Thanks for looking.

    I like your tree.

This year I am no putting up tree. I think I will make a quilted tree for next year.

I have always had cats. My solution is to put a eye hook in the ceiling and run fishing line from the tree to the hook. That takes care of the problem of tipping trees. Only non breakable ornaments on the lower branches helps too.

Looks really nice and he will appreciate it. I had a couple squirt bottles decorated and hung them when I had a couple cats. They left the tree alone because I had used them to squirt when they were not to be on counters and tables. I had stickers on them. The ones on the tree didn't need water in them. Just the presence of them on the tree was enough. Light enough for the branches to hold.

This is something that I did with my glass program, I can send you a print out and explain what I did if you PM me. Its not really hard, just a lot of small pieces.

Here is the back I took the hanger off, and got better photos on the table.

And the front again, you can see the snow flake at the top better in this one.
