I think it looks like you made it wavy on purpose with the sale boats & water print, stick with that story

That is so cute I am working on sail boat quilt I found in "Lap Quilting" by Georgia Bonesteel for great grand son in Texas, but mind is 3 across and 4 down smaller version. Going to put on a 4-5 in border and my sails r all white with colored boats, yellow, red, black, blue and green. Hoping to finish it this coming wk.
