That is one of the cutest things I've ever seen! You did a terrific job on the boats. And I also love the satin binding. I remember how my son used to run it through his fingers. It was such a soothing sensation. Now I'm thinking I should make one as a remembrance of my daughter who died 8 years ago at age 23. Very touching story.

audsgirl, that was why i used satin binding... i was aiming for a very soothing and cuddly tactile experience for the quilt's family. My heart goes out to you over the death of your young daughter. I don't know how your family made it through that, but I hope the Lord surrounded you with love. It would be a very sweet and touching thing to make a quilt in remembrance of her, a testimony of your love for her. I hope you are able to find comfort in it.
