Default Same pattern - 2 different looks

After being in a cast for my broken arm for 6 weeks, then in a splint for what will be 2 additional weeks, I tried to sew a week after they removed the cast. Oh, my sweet little machine, how I have missed you! The pieces for these two charity quilts had been cut out waiting to be sewn together. Took me a little over a day working on and off to do each of the quilts but I like the result. They were sewn with 4-1/2" squares for the 4-patch, with sashing cut at 1-1/4" and borders cut at 2-1/2". Only 1 more week and I will be able to cut fabric again! Hooray!

This is the kind of scrappy I love -- and I can handle. The difference is amazing!
