Oh these are adorable! And I think your right you could make those out of wire. I think if you made a jig to wrap the wire they would come out perfectly the same everytime!

They are darling. The glasses are so cool.

I do have one small suggestion. Take a toothpick and put a white dot in the same spot in each eye, not the center but like the lower left corner of each eye or the upper right corner of each eye. It will put that twinkle there. You can use any acrylic paint. They are at JoAnns or Walmart and many small town dime store craft departments. You can get the fabric paint or the stuff that is used on wood. If you have a white pen, that may work too or WhiteOut that they used years ago for typing errors.
