Default Sashing or no sashing?

Im finishing up Boom 9 block swap. These are some of the blocks Ive received laid out on my bed. I am thinking it needs sashing but have no idea what kind/color to put. I think it has enough yellow and white already but needs something to set off the blocks. Any suggestion would be appreciated! To me picking sashing is the hardest part of quilting!

I think it depends on who the quilt is for. I also think it does need sashing. I would choose a brown batik, a dark yellow or perhaps a shade of blue. Just my suggestions. I love the blocks.

This is exactly what I would have written. Great quilt!

if it were me, I would go bold But it really depends on how you want it to look at the end.

If you want a bold summery look: Go for a bright orange
If you want an airy look: go for light blue
if you want an earthy look: go for a green (can take it bright with a lime or more toned down with a grass)
If you want the sashing to fade and not stand out at all: go for a light grey, almost silvery

It would really depend on where you want to go with it.

A darker gold would be nice for sashing. Lovely blocks!

My choice would be a medium dark pearl gray, or else a darker gold. The blocks are beautiful.

I thought dark red. Says my 7-year old daughter, Bridget. I think a dark grey or black would be good.
