This is what I made last Sunday, and I am just so pleased with it. It is made from scraps of a quilt I made for my colleague at school who retired after 31 years of teaching. I really miss her at work, and now this little scrapcatcher reminds me of her everytime I step into my sewing room!

Me on the right with my friend on the left. She was completely blindsided by the quilt. Perfect!

That's very cool! What an awesome idea. How does the scrap catcher stick to the table?

Awesome quilt too... I love those colours!

It stays on the table because the pincushion is filled with birdcage gravel. I know that's a weird filling, but it was Sunday and I didn't much on hand except bird gravel. I'd used all my rice in those pincushions that look like a piece of cake. Of course, I could just not wait to get something on Monday!

How cute. I saw a pattern somewhere, but think I can make one without a pattern, if I get time. Thanks for sharing.
