    Scrap Quilts

A friend who works at a company that makes baby carriers/wraps asked if I would make her two quilts using the left over fabric scraps and I was up for the challenge. The fabric frayed quite a lot and some pieces I liked both sides of the fabric and used them where I needed which created lovely texture in both quilts. I chose a hexagon pattern and drunkards path and I love how both quilts have come up. I had just enough smaller scraps to make a binding for one of the quilts, quite bulky but it looks great now it is sewn down.

I have asked my friend for more scraps if there are any so I can make another quilt or quilts.

Those are great! I especially like the drunkard's path one, although the hexie is also very, very nice.

Love both of your quilts. I've made patchwork covers for my exterior cushions using outdoor fabrics so much heavier/thicker than normal quilting fabrics. Then I quilted them using my quilt machine. Had no issues with either machine during the process. Really like your drunkard's Path with the crazy quilt block border. Nice use of smaller pieces of fabrics.

Love both! They are busy and I normally shy from that, but these are fantastic -- they look like modern art!
