Scrappy green flying geese w/ green charms from swap

I am making 320 flying geese units for a lap quilt mostly from green charms from a recent swap on this board. I have a big string of chain pieced units on my machine and had to snap a picture . I need to get this done and hand quilted in time to mail for an early Jan. birthday!

And yes, my hubby cut a hole in our dining room table for my machine! My daughter just shakes her head. You might be a quilting redneck if you...

Nope, it was a garage sale table top that we added legs to , when we have people over for dinner, we have a couple of books that fit in the hole. I just throw a nice table cloth over it and no one ever knows the difference! But I sew WAY more than we use it for eating at!!

What a creative use of green charms--and a table. "Redneck" or not, it does the job!

What an awesome hubby! Love the book idea...and I know what you mean by using it more for sewing more than eating! My quilt frame is in the living room. I love it there because that's where our family hangs out! We don't 'formally entertain' so better to make the living room some place we want to be!

Like the geese, but I love your table. I'm experiencing table envy. I have a koala table with far less useable space.

Very nice flying geese and table. If it works for you that is all that counts. No formal dinners around here either. Grands and one daughter and SIL is our only guests.

Thanks for sharing charm swap pictures! I was wondering what other idea people were coming up with for using the charms. :-) What a skillful carpenter you have!
