Stash diving to make a runner

Stash diving to make a runner
I found a free pattern on Craftsy for a table runner that I liked the look of: https://www.craftsy.com/quilting/pat...-runner/249627
I did some modifications in both size and shape. I was really pleased that I was able to get it to work out as well as it did. I made it for the top of my Singer 301 cabinet that is in my living room. All of the fabrics, batting, and thread came from my stash. Most of the fabrics were scraps from other projects along with a couple of fat quarters. I guess that would mean I made my first scrappy something:-)
Here it is on the cabinet:

This is the front. I changed the sizes of the chevrons & the square in the center and added the triangles on the ends.

This is the back. I used my Westalee rulers & foot to quilt it. I also tried a little fmq without any guides. This is the first piece that I did such heavy quilting on and I really like the effect.

This was completely sewn & quilted on my Singer 201-2, what a sweet machine! I am happy with the results, not bad for my 7th project. I am still new enough at quilting that I am still counting:-)
Thanks for looking.

That's beautiful . I love your botanical batiks and your eye for color. You must've been having a lot of fun coming up with all those quilting motifs and combining them . Terrific results--can't believe it's only your 7th project. Wow.
