Default Scrappy Smokey Mountain Stars - Bonnie Hunter Pattern
This is a scrappy Smokey Mountain Stars quilt (Bonnie Hunter's pattern). I used so many ideas/techniques I learned on this site to make the quilt top. I used men's shirts I got from the local Good Will (16 different shirts). And, I starched the fabric like crazy, which really helped me with more consistent 1/2" seams, because the fabric held its shape better. Lastly, I ironed the seams in opposite directions so I could nest the seams. It worked so well!

(The quilt is not lopsided in real life... I just hung it off-kilter.)

I have done this quilt before. A lot of fun making it for QOV. The pattern I used was called Slanted Stars in F&P magazine.
