Default quilts for teacher gifts

My grandson attends a preschool at a church where I grew up -many years ago! One of the "girls" i grew up with there was his pre-k teacher this year. The aide in the room was on the staff of a church camp with me for over 10 years. These quilts will be fun to give as he finishes the year.

The pink/black one is Cheaper By the Dozen with a fat quarter pack from ... I think RJR. The border uses scraps from the fat quarters. The other is a pattern from Missouri Star - maybe Double Slice Layer Cake? The fabric was a Daily Deal layer cake from Missouri Star Quilt Company. I love that it's school related, but not in your face school.

Won't they love their gifts! They will mean so much because of your history together. Both of them are so great.

As a former teacher, I can tell you that your gift will be treasured for years! I have saved every handmade gift that I received from parents and children for 34 yrs. of teaching. A handmade gift shows true appreciation. Good for you for being so thoughtful!
