Default Scrappy star using dryer sheets

A couple of weeks ago, I posted a few blocks of scrappy stars, asking advice about using dryer sheets for the scraps to be sewn onto. Comments, pro & con, were made about using them, and so I continued making the blocks, as they were used sheets and enough said that after washing them, they had no problem with the fragrance. I got all the blocks sewn together and just have to post it. I will be adding borders, to make it more queen size. It is pictured on a king bed, so size is about 55x77

Just a closer up picture. I was going to use sashing between the blocks, but it was suggested to not do that. I am so glad I didn't.

I am so glad to hear the dryer sheets worked. I am getting ready to do my first pp and I will use the dryer sheets now. I have an abundance of them saved up. Such an inexpensive way to do pp.

Beautiful quilt! Did you mark your dryer sheets to get a consistent sewing line? If yes, I am guessing you just used a pen and ruler and marked them by hand??

Wow this is beautiful! Can you share how you did this? I'm not sure how dryer sheets helped you but am so curious. Thank you for putting this beautiful quilt in my head. I have some scraps that will be great for this I think. Did you use a special ruler for the yellow center?

I didnt pp, I squared the dryer sheet, used water soluble glue stick, to attach star in corner and just sewed narrow strips at random. That way when I sewed the blocks together I didn't have all the seams at the same places. The yellow piece is shaped like a kite
