I found this at goodwill. Could you tell me if this is a sewing cabinet. The top lifts up.

It really looks like books staked on top of each other...maybe it was for a formal library in a home????

wow, it sure is pretty. I have tons of threads and flosses. yummy! :-D
It can be anything you want it to be. I would definitely put it either in my sewing room or my bedroom for something special. slurp! :D

Thanks, I've never seen one like this. I thought the side tables all had longer legs and was pushed tight against the wall.

are those hinges on the back? do the other front drawers open? it might have been a secretary or a ladies' chest. what are the measurements?

whatever it was, it wasn't made to go against a wall. the back is prettier than the front. imo.
