Default Sewing machine cover

At the end of last year the ladies in our quilting group participated in a secret project which had to contain DP9 of DP4 or some of the other techniques we learned last year. Since my sewing machine was covered by an old towel, this was an ideal opportunity to remedy an ugly habit. The photos below reflect my attempt to incorporate everything we did in class: crumbs, fmq, bargello, folded 3D, DP4, DP9 and some appliques as a bonus. Pictures 1 and 2 is the front, then (3) the left side followed by (4) top and back and (5) the right side. The buttons, though quite cute are still supposed to be replaced by faux cathedral windows (which were made but not attached when I ran out of time). A year later, that does not seem to be a priority. The big other big challenge is to make the other accessories which are currently only in my head. One day.......

I like the sewing machine cover. You have given me a good idea. Thanks. I am sure there is enough scrap fabric here to do the small blocks and then attach the rest. Again thank you for taking the time to post.

Wow it's got so many techniques on it. You did a great job. I like your colors and think your little sewing machine appliqué is super cute.
