It came out beautifully! Love the lace edge and using the original fabric for the backing was a great idea!

Yes, a huge change from most OBW's, that it seemed so drab when I started working with it. And you, my dear will get to see it IRL very soon!!

Everyone ....
*blush*
and many thanks for all you've said in your posts. The match for my living room was not planned. I merely bought the fabric because I liked it and later went duh, it matches.

Likewise the yardage for the backing was accidental as I bought several repeats, unsure if I wanted a small, medium or large. At the course, we worked out the sizes based on quilts that were there and I decided that 2 full sets was going to be too big, so I did about 1-2/3 for a small lap quilt. I'm thinking it'll seldom be used and haven't decided on whether to hang it for now, or just drape it over a chair.

You've all been most generous with your kind words ... and what a great way to start my day and week!!!! Not to worry, I won't let my head get too swollen!!!!

k3n ... that might be better said as "clear as mud"!!

That is such a pretty girlie quilt. I love it!

I have never seen lace on a quilt like that before. Thanks for sharing the idea!

The lace is so nice with the delicate florals in the OBW, and the piping really sets it off. It is a beautiful quilt.
