Lovely quilt. Isn't it fun to step outside the box every once in awhile. You did a great job.

While it wasn't hard it was very time consuming. The circles all had to be basted, them appliqued onto the squares. Each circle is random, some whole some half & some quartered. Some were matched and some were off set. She saw this pattern in Diane McClun & Laura Nownes book "Say It With Quilts" (page 72) I changed it quite a bit....it was square & I wanted rectangle; I set the background in diangler rows instead of straight rows; I kept the inner boder 1 color while they had it patchy....Liz picked out June's Garden as her focus fabric & I picked out the rest. I had to lay everything out to make sure everyone played nicely together.....and that was the point where hubby decided it would be a good idea to put our house on the market so everything needed to be basted into place ASAP! Then it sat in the closet for months while we cleaned, painted, etc. etc. Soooo long story short  that was what was hard! LOL!!!
Beachbound I LOVE your quilt...I made a similar quilt for my son for his wedding but I like how you did the part circles...think I will have to try one like your soon, well done!
