I just this past weekend finished a baby blanket with these same pinwheels and I did the sash, partly because I needed the blanket a little bigger but I think it makes the pinwheel stand out more. I LOVE your colors! This was such a fun square to make.

IT IS BEAUTIFUL BOTH WAYS, BUT I DO BELIEVE THE SASHING ADDS A LITTLE MORE DEPTH. GEORGOUS....

The quilt is beautiful, but definitely with the sashing or at least I think so! It really makes the pinwheels pop.

Without. I think without makes it look like a more modern pattern. It's lovely BTW.

I personally like the sashing.. brings out the indivdual colors of the pinwheels. nice job nice colors. :-D
