Both ways are really cute, personally I like the sashing, it brings all the colors together.

Either way, the quilt is just beautiful! Your colors are so pretty. If you had shown me the quilt without sashing, I would have thought the quilt was gorgeous. However, having seen both I think the one with sashing is "uber" gorgeous.

Will the sashing make it a better size?

Sashing definitely........love your choice for the sashing....picks up all the colors yet subdued.....Great choice!

Well I'm going to be the odd one here. At first I liked sashing but with a second look I saw this quilt being sooooo cute with all the pinwheels together and surrounded by the white with beautiful quilting to make them stand out. I see a fanciful border all around the outside to really make the pinwheel center stand out. I want to make one! How do you make those 3D pinwheels?!? I love your colors! What a cute quilt! Have fun finishing it. What ever you do it will be spectacular.

Both ways are pretty - just go with what you like.

I like the WITH SASHING but either way is lovely although if you were to go "WITHOUT SASHING" I would frame the inside border with a small inner frame of say 1/4in to 1/5in depending on your sizes. Good job! Therese

Agreed. I like it both ways too. Also, your border/sashing fabric is lovely. I think I slightly prefer it without the sashing. If it were my project, I might do one or more narrow inner borders of the lively pinwheel fabrics. whatever you decide, I am sure this quilt will be a joy to the child.
