I LOVE the paintings on the walls!! I love to feel like I'm outside when I'm inside--which is what that does. Sigh--what a happy place. Thanks for sharing.

    Nanci:
I have a wonderful sewing room but only I, and I ALONE can find anything in it. You know how the saying goes "She who dies with the most fabric WINS!" Well, I win. I have 16 huge tubs of fabric stacked plus my beautiful, lovely state of the art modular office suit furniture with bookcases, drawers, cubby holes, etc. are all full! Then I have 2 sewing machines out all the time, my sergerand a couple other machines that I use when my little nephews come over to play plus my music, computer, printer, scanner and all the other stuff that is used with all of these items so my room is wonderful but VERY BUSY! A mamma pig would lose her little ones in it without a good, Expedia.com map!  I won't take pictures of my room... no one would understand how I get anything done in here    but it's my sanctuary and I love it and have spent a million hours of my life in it. Thanks for sharing your room with us. It's lovely and cheerful and wonderful, too.

That is a really nice room. My area is set up in the basement that has no windows and I'm thinking of doing wall murals, maybe that will brighten and cheer up the space. My space is is rather large because I like to work with stained glass, oil painting, quilting, making candles. I go from one to the other every couple of months it seems.

I just love that painting you did on the walls.
Are those stencils and if so where did you get them if you don't mind me asking.

What a beautiful room. My room is small with no windows. Thats why I Painted it and decorated it the way I did. My husband put up a new light so now I have 3 lights over top of my work space. I do my cutting in the hall way upstairs outside the little room.

You are so lucky to have a nice size space. someday i will move out of my closet. LOL When I am 80

    Hi Sherri,

No I did not paint the room a friend did it free hand. I told her I wanted sunflowers and wisteria and that is what I got. Then she got real excited and painted my cat by the door I had a picture on the desk of Winston. She stayed in there for 8 long hours before I could look. She also did the shutter girl by the curtain. My house is full of her paintings she paints on things you would never think of to paint on. Here is Winston my quilty cat.

Winston is wonderful. He looks like a big, laid back boy who is happiest when he has one eye on you and the other in "nap" mode. Thanks for sharing. :-)

Winston looks like a very wise quilty cat. I'm sure he gives you good advice. I have a one too. I have limited space so lay my blocks out on the floor. She rearranges them for me. Sometimes her way looks better.

May I please come and hide with you?? I, too, love your Threadhead wall hanging. The painting is stunning and I adore the cat. I promise, I'll be very quiet and you'll never know I'm there.

That gets me wanting to start working on my sewing room. OUr downstairs is still unfinished (new house we built and plan to finish downstairs later), and I am planning a sewing room down there.
