Default Showing off my new wall hanging!

This mini-quilt is 12" x 12". It is a design from Quilting Celebrations magazine, by Patrick Lose. The fabric is actually his line too (except the orange)- but I actually didn't know that when I bought it. It was only later that I realized the awesome bright fabric I bought was by the designer whose wall hangings I wished I was good enough to make.

Well, I got some courage, and made this one! This is the second time I've ever tried satin stitch applique and it went a million times better than the first (outlining letters on a mug rug- I got the job done, but it wasn't pretty...). It is my third or fourth applique project, I'm really new to this.

I definetly have more mini quilts in my future. I made this one in just an afternoon, and looking at it makes me SO happy!

Cool Fantastic Wallhanging!

It is so bright and cheerful! You did an excellent job on the applique. I really enjoy doing applique; have so much fun, most of the time I could care less what it looks like. LOL.
