Default Six pointed star trivet or what ever

I just made this. it's to be finished yet. 60 degree diamonds, 2 1/2 inch with one inch black added around them. then 3 1/2 inch diamonds for fill in. Cute.

also made this folded star pin cushion. i went to Petco and got a bag of crushed walnut shells cat litter, of all things, to fill it with. I had done it with poly stuffing but took that out. it looks so much better with the crushed walnuts shells.

very pretty, both of them! really like the idea of using walnut shells for pin cushion filling. This inspires me to try making this star.

Thanks. the colors of the pin cushion are much better. the flash washed them out a bit.
I didn't have a 60 degree ruler so i dug out my Easy Six ruler and used that. that was fun!!!

Your items are nice. The block is awesomely well done/pieced. I got some crushed shells from Fabric Depot on Line and I think they were 1.99 for 2 lbs. I think. They make an awesome pin cushion.
