Now this is a quilter after my own heart! Way to go! Love it! (are we related?)
It may have been a a pile of work but it was worth it
What a beauty! Makes me smile...it looks happy. Makes me think I should save my scraps instead of rehoming them.
Wendy that is just beautiful. I have never made a true scrappy quilt before, because most scrappys do not appeal to me that much, but this one is just lovely, and with your permission I really think I would like to make one like this. What pattern did you use or is this just your own design? Do you mind if I make a copy of your quilt, naturally the fabs will be totally different, but I love the design, especially the borders. Thanks, Gerbie
Love all the colors!
Just stunning! This scrappy is extraordinary! Kudos!
This is so pretty! You did a fantastic job. I just love scrappy quilts. This one reminds me of sleeping over at my grandmother's house. It was so much fun to lie in bed and look at all of the pretty prints and different colors on the quilts.
Now that's what I call a really scrappy scrap quilt. I'd love to make one as I already have a bunch of Bricks and Stepping stone blocks and think this kind of a quilt would really put a dent in my overflowing boxes of scrapps. Thanks for sharing your quilt. May in Jersey
FANTASTIC! You did a great job and inspired me to use all those scraps I've been saving. Whoever said that ALL colors don't go together??? You've used color contrast in a very effective way. Good job!
What a wonderful and interesting scrappy you have made! I love scrappies and would be so pleased to have one like this on my bed. You are on the top of the list of "Queen on the Scrappies".
Scrappy Dappy Doooo!!!! It is awesome
Like it! What a way to use scraps
I just love a good scrappy quilt and wow what stories it can tell of where each fabric came from and the love and care that went into its creation.
Love that scrappy. It is beautiful. joyce j
Awesome but bet you are glad to finish the top it's so big!
Love it - I have been wanting to make a quilt for my bedroom but other things keep taking priority. I love how you laid it out to make it look like a pattern and not just one big pile of scrap material.

I am in AWE. That's beautiful! I have problems doing "random" things and am trying to get myself "into" scrap quilting. This is a great inspiration!
Love it.

Hi everyone! Thank you all so much for your wonderful comments on my scrappy quilt. It sure puts a smile on my face.
A couple of people have asked what pattern I used. Well, initially it started off as a Bricks and Stepping Stones pattern from Quiltville.com then I put a border on it with thick piano keys. Then my dh said, hmmm maybe you should make it to fit our king bed. I was ok. So next thing was using all of my 2 1/2" squares and made sixteen patches. Then another border. Still wasnt big enough lol. Then came my last four patch border. Now, it is big enough LOL..... Then only thing I tried to do was to have a light and a dark piece together. And to make sure that two squares were not alike next to each other.
I ordered backing for it and waiting for it to come in the mail so I can get it together. Then off to the long-armer.)
